The Horne Section

We do not curently have theatre breaks available for The Horne Section. This could be because we have simply sold out or it could be that this show is no longer running. The information on this page remains purely for historical and informational purposes.

Comedy and Jazz, united at last; live and loud in Alex Horne's hit jazz performance party The Horne Section. From the Edinburgh Fringe, via Soho Theatre and the Union Chapel The Horne Section now arrives for its West End debut.

Alex Horne has gathered some of the UK's finest jazz musicians and mixed them with the most exciting comics in the country to create some unique and hilarious noises. It's jazz-infused comedy, live and loud - part improvised, part honed, part performance, part party. The Horne Section is a beltingly fun show where Alex and his magnificent band (session players with Madness, Girls Aloud and many more) welcome various comedians on to improvise a short piece, sing a song or do whatever they please. The results are unexpected and hilarious, we've had Tim Minchin improvising a song about Cheese, Al Murray playing drums to Stevie Wonder's Superstition, and Jimmy Carr telling one liners over Drum and Bass and Russian Gypsy Polka.

But it's more than just comedians; we've had brass bands, theramin players, jugglers, strippers and dancers join the fun. The bill is different for each show but we promise the best comedians, cabaret and musical acts every time
