One of the UK's foremost dance companies, Northern Ballet is renowned for bringing together the dramatic and the classical in its award-winning repertoire. This spring they continue that tradition with a gripping new production, Cleopatra.
An enduring icon of the ancient world, Cleopatra was a mother, lover and queen who overturned convention and changed the course of history. This full-length ballet is a must-see from Northern Ballet's Artistic Director, David Nixon OBE and features a specially composed score by Claude-Michel Schonberg (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables), played live by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
With over 40 years of dance making, Northern Ballet have collected an impressive array of accolades and nominations including the audience award at the Critics' Circle Awards for three successive years and Oliver award nominations for The Three Musketeers and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
