Al Stewart - Cadogan Hall at the Cadogan Hall

After touring for the last year in the USA with his band the Empty Pockets, Al has decided to bring this show to the UK shores. He will be playing selections from his deep catalogue along with favorites Year Of The Cat, Time Passages, On the Border, Nostradamus and Roads To Moscow. The Scottish-born singer-songwriter has released nearly 20 introspective and lyrically powerful records featuring brilliant backing musicians (Jimmy Page, Phil Collins, Richard Thompson, Peter White, etc.). His biggest platinum successes, “Year Of The Cat” and “Time Passages”, were released in 1976 & 1978 respectively. He’s had several top 20 singles, including the above-mentioned titles, as well as “On the Border” and “Song On The Radio”. In Al’s own Words: “I'm just a folk singer that is interested in history and wine that got lucky with some hit records! It's as simple as that really. I was always a huge music fan and originally, I had wanted to be Brian Jones and then Bob Dylan, but those two jobs were already taken. And in many ways, I'm still pretty much the same troubadour that I was back in 1965. I still get a kick out of hearing the Zombies, Hendrix or They Might be Giants on the radio."

Amour at the Charing Cross Theatre

Paris, 1950 - a shy, unassuming civil servant, Dusoleil, lives alone and works diligently in a dreary office. To pass the time, he writes letters to his mother and daydreams about the beautiful Isabelle, who is kept locked away by her controlling husband. When Dusoleil miraculously gains the ability to walk through walls, he not only begins to lead a double life, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor to right the wrongs of his war-impoverished Parisian neighbours, but also gains the self-confidence to woo Isabelle and, just for a while, live the life he has always longed for. AMOUR, a musical fantasy about daring to dream and the power of self belief, has music by multi award-winning Michel Legrand with English lyrics by Jeremy Sams (from the original French by Didier Van Cauwelaert). Adapted from the 1943 short story Le Passe-Muraille by Marcel Aymé, AMOUR opened on Broadway in 2002 and was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Shalamar at the Aldwych Theatre

Shalamar are one of the most successful soul groups of all time, selling 25 million albums worldwide. Formed in 1976, the band enjoyed their first hit single the following year with the Motown inspired medley 'Uptown Festival'.
The 'underground soul club' hits continued with 'Take That To The Bank' in 1978, followed by 'Right In The Socket' and the infectious ‘The Second Time Around’, which dominated the airwaves through Autumn 1979.
In 1982, the whole world fell under the spell of Shalamar with the release of the ‘Friends’ album (which sold over on million copies in the UK) and in particular, 'A Night to Remember' – although it was not perhaps the song but the image of Jeffrey Daniel performing the 'Moonwalk' live on British Television for the first time on Top of The Pops that stopped a nation in their tracks.
Fast forward 35+ years and the band, still with original members Jeffrey Daniel, Howard Hewitt alongside Solar Records Dick Griffey, daughter Carolyn Griffey continue to thrill audiences all over the world with their stage show. "A Shalamar concert is a giant party" says Jeffrey Daniel, "From the moment we step on stage to the moment we finish the audience becomes part of the show - they’re up on their feet dancing and singing along".

The Beach Boys at the Royal Albert Hall

The Beach Boys return to London for two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019. The band have birthed a torrent of hit singles and sold albums by the tens of millions, but their greater significance lies in the fact that it changed the musical landscape so profoundly that every pop act since has been in its debt. Happily for us all, The Beach Boys continue to create and perform with the same bold imagination and style that marked their explosive debut over 50 years ago. The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who, along with Jeffrey Foskett, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher, Christian Love and Scott Totten continue the legacy of the iconic American band.
